Website Design

In need of a website for your brand or business? Exquisite Enterprises Inc. offers a seamless website design experience from start to finish. Our priorities are to build you a site that accurately reflects your brand and vision, as well as educating you to know how to best maintain your website.

Your website serves as a home base for your business when it comes to any and all information pertaining to it. A website is expected to convince a customer to want to do business with you. In order to do that, you need to have a website that establishes your credentials, sells your products and/or services, and helps you generate leads. Your website needs to serve a purpose for your business. Think about what it is you hope to accomplish with this site:

  • Why do people need to go to your website?

  • What will they find?

  • What will they do?

  • How many pages do you want?

In order to build a site, you need to have a host and a domain name.

As an analogy, a domain is an “address” on the Internet. Hosting is the “land” or space where your website files live.

Hosting

A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers. Most hosting companies require that you own your domain in order to host with them.

Domain registration

Leasing a human-readable word (e.g., amazon.com) that directs people to specific website files via a browser.

SEO

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) involves making certain changes to your website design and content that make your site more attractive to a search engine. SEO is the process that organizations go through to help make sure that their site ranks high in the search engines for relevant keywords and phrases.

Every Great Website Needs:

Clarity

When you’re clear about what you stand for, who you serve, what you do best, why you’re a great choice, how you’re different, and what results and benefits others will experience by interacting and engaging with you, marketing and sales become almost effortless. Better yet, referrals could dramatically increase because your audience understands who you are.

Consistency

When your brand shows up consistently across every marketing channel in the same way — with the same colors, typefaces, imagery style, and message — you build enormous brand equity, which leads to increased trust, credibility, and reliability.

Before You Get Started:

In order to get started on building your site, you need to understand exactly what the role your website will play in your business. Every business needs a website, but do you know why YOUR business needs one? When you understand the purpose of your website as an integral part of your business operation, then you can get started creating a successful website.

Having a good website for your business is even more important now than Twitter and Facebook, making it easier for more people to find you. Here are my reasons why having a website for your business is still vitally important:

  • Being Found – The #1 goto place when someone is looking for your business is your website. People search through search engines like Google or Bing, not via Facebook for fan pages.

  • Search Engine Optimization – Websites (and blogs) are important for ranking well in search engines. Much of Facebook is still a walled garden that is invisible to search engines.

  • Primary Activity – People are on Facebook for entertainment or to see what’s going on with their friends or family. They’re not there to hear about your latest promotions (which doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t necessarily have a Facebook fan page, but it certainly shouldn’t be your main online presence).

  • Control – You need a place online that you own, where you control the information and the data. Facebook can change their site or terms of service at any time (they’ve already done that numerous times).

  • Opportunity – A website allows for a much more robust experience for visitors than most other platforms. This means that you can be more efficient at providing visitors the information that they’re looking for, as well as the opportunity to create web applications for more value to your visitors.

  • Branding – Websites also allow you more control over your branding. While sites like Facebook allow some customization, it’s still inside Facebook’s shell. Companies are able to control all aspects of a design with a website.

  • Measurement – Metrics and measurements to know how well your digital tactics are working are much easier to get via a website. Facebook and Twitter do provide some metrics (as well as some provided by third-parties), but the metrics are not as business oriented, making it more difficult to measure specific tactics and promotions.

Important things to keep in mind when thinking about what you want your website to be:

  1. Remember to make your brand message and identity clear

  2. Always remain user friendly. Nothing turns a customer off more than a confusing website

  3. Choose your core colors and stick to them. Get the color codes of your brand colors and stick to them when building your site.

Are you wanting people to be able to book you?

  • What services will you be providing?

    • We’ll need the service names, service descriptions, services pricing, categories, and booking preferences.

Are you wanting to add a store?

  • What will you be selling?

    • We’ll need product names, pricing, product photos, product descriptions, product variants, product categories and collections.

Are you wanting to add a blog?

  • What content will you be sharing?

    • Are you wanting to publish videos or live stream? What can readers/viewers expect?

    • How often do you plan to publish content?

Questions to Ask Before Starting A Website:

Why do I need a website?

What are people going to come to my site for?

What's my brand identity, and how do I want to best get that across through my site?

What are my goals for my business?

How can my website help me, and my business, become more productive and successful?

What do I absolutely need to have on my site?

What is my competition doing on their website?

What is, especially important, for me to highlight on my site?
